find white worms squiggling around in it? (I did.) (no preservatives)

Any fat based product will turn rancid fairly quickly especially when preservatives aren't used. Instead of buying another brand that contains preservatives, try keeping the natural peanut butter in the fridge. I know this will not make it very user friendly but it will keep better and a small portion can be softened in the microwave before use for just a few seconds.

When I clicked on this question I sure did not expect to see this. Gross!!!! No that never happened but one time I opened a ''Chunky Bar'' and found worms, however I saw it before I had any and I still could not get it out of my mind. I can only imagine you must have had some of that peanut butter at some point. Sorry. One time I opened up ''Cheddar Cheese and found a hair inside the middle of the cheese, you know it was processed in when it was made. It was half way eaten when I saw it, that was real gross, I feel for you, I imagine you will see those worms in your mind over and over, and it will be a long time before you eat peanut butter, right!! Take care.

No. I always buy natural peanut butter and I'll "forget it" and leave it in the cupboard after opening it for months on end. I've never (I'm 35) seen that happen.

I would *never* buy it from the same shop you found that in!
