What could cause a woman of about 30 years old who has always had black eyelashes, to suddenly get one long, white eyelash?

if it is only one thats not a big deal. The follicle probably isn't producing the pigment like it normally does. The same reason that a persons hair turns white

When you get older, hair starts growing in weird areas! Take guys for instance: they loose hair on top of their heads, and it starts hanging out their nose! I have a single white hair that grows out the side of my nose and I have to pluck it! :)

Its the beginning of going gray, I have several white hairs in my eyebrows.

I don't know, but my identical twin sister and I have one. We just started gettin' one about 4 years it. It's weird 'cause my attention is always on it! lol
