At 2:00 PM, a train leaves Kokomo, Indiana at 40 mph towards Chicago.
At the same time, a train leaves Chicago at 80 mph towards Kokomo.
At what time, and what place do they meet?

They don't meet at all. In fact, they don't even take off to each others destination because there is an ocean between Kokomo, India and Chicago, illinois. The only way to get to Chicago from India and vice versa is by plane or boat.

Assuming Kokomo and Chicago are 120 miles apart, wouldn't they meet in an hour, two thirds of the way to Kokomo from Chicago?
I guess it depends on the route they're taking! :)

well since one left at 2 i am pretty sure the one in chicago would have left at 4. it would have to be somewhere around the time of 2:45pm

They will meet at 2:45 or 2:50pm they will meet in PA? I'm just guessing since i don't know the distance between the two.
