In the Greek dip taramasalata. The cod roe is whizzed with garlic, olive oil, lemon juice and usually a little mashed potato to bind. Great with warm pita bread.

Depends whether its smoked cods roe which is very expensive and hard to find and can be eaten like caviar, or soft cods roes which has to be lightly fried and eaten on toast.

Well the way caviar is normally eaten is on little pancakes called blinis (probably really badly spelt, pronounced bleeny) and a little sour cream, delicious!

Try boiling them until cooked then add salt and pepper and see how they taste.
