i know its called regurgitation i just didnt know domestic dogs did this so wuold it be best if i allowed her to see the pups eating their solids as this may encourage her to stop doing it if she knows they dont need her to do this for them anymore

she is even doing it when the pups are not around her they can be in the next room and as for not looking its a bit difficult when she does it in my lounge and the smell is awful i think i will have to put the pups out to her in the enclosure for half an hour so this can take place there and not in my home thanks for all your advice

Its called Regurgitation. Its the way a dog or canid gets there babies used to solid foods. They chew it up, mix it with stomach bacterias, and the give some to the puppies. The puppies make mom and do it by nipping there lips. There lips have heightened nerve sensation that in turn tells the stomach to urp up some food for the puppies. Its not disgusting and its REALLY REALLY good for the puppies. Dont stop it. Its mother nature.
ADDITIONAL INFO: it wont matter in the slightest if she sees the puppies eating. Its a instinctive, relective re-action to the puppies nipping on her lips. IF you can stop the puppies from nipping her face and mouth she will stop regurgitating.

This is an instinctive behavior that arises from the dog's wild predator ancestry. When wolves goes out to hunt, the may make the kill far from the pups. Although they may be able to carry some food back, it is more efficient to carry it in the stomach. They then regurgitate to feed the pups.
It's normal.

If her pups are weaned, take her away to feed her and give her at least an hour before you let her back to the pups. It won't hurt them or her, you can spend time with them. Give her time to let her food go down.
This is completely normal, just make sure they're all on their worming schedule as its another way to pass them around.

It's a normal part of the weaning process. It should stop in a few weeks. You're just gonna have to stomach it till then. Offer the pups solid food. The sooner they start eating that the sooner it will stop.

That's normal behavior. In the wild, that's how wolves wean their puppies, going from milk to partially pre-digested food.

She's a mother and is doing what all wild animals do and that is seeing her babes get as much as possible to eat. Dont forget dogs come from wolves and it is still in their blood. Its just a survival thing thats all. Dont like it dont look. Ex breeder

It is gross, but it is completely normal. All wild dogs do it for their young and it is kind of there way of weaning them to solid food.
