If a driver had a valid va license and lost their license in there previous home state and driving privelidges lost in that state only, leaving valid va license will motor vehicle notify driver they can't drive in Va also? Since person was dui with child in car folks are concerned the driver will continue driving with valid va license. They lost license in home state maine for two years for dui and operating after suspension. If the folks report this to Va due to their concern for driver and child will Va do anything or not to notify driver? Driver feels they can continue driving due to haveing valid va license. Thanks alot

They are breaking the law simply by having two licenses at the same time. They should have surrendered the Maine license when they applied for the Virginia license.

Call the DMV in Va. and let them know your concern. The Va. license may have been obtained fraudulently, and will be revoked. If the license was suspended or revoked, the holder should have been notified.

you cannot operate or have another license if suspended in another state.

When you go to DMV requesting for a license there is a question pertaining to being suspended or not in another state. If you lie and sign it, you can be put in JAIL.

License is a privilege
