my cat ran out of my house 6 weeks ago then she came back and then suddenly she started getting fat so can you tell me why that is happening?

well obviously she is pregnant because she ran out of the house then mated with another cat when she was in heat and know she is going to have kittens!
good luck.(you should get it neutered after she gives the kittens)

Need more info - gender, age, and are they both neutered? *Yes, if you neuter them, they won't be at each other's throats quite so much (plus, your cat could start spraying at any time, and once that happens, even getting him neutered might not stop it). However, since your doggie is small, your cat would probably win in a real fight. If you've never seen cats in a real fight (not the mock smacking around they do, but when they are trying to kill each other) it's incredibly scary. I'd rather stick my arm in a pitbull fight then in a real cat fight. They can shred you down to the bone, and they'll do it so fast you'll have ten gashes pouring blood before you even know you've been hit. It sounds like your doggie is a new addition to the home. Is he still a puppy? If he's a puppy, he could be secretly bugging your cat when you're not watching (puppies have lots of energy and they want to play with whoever is around, regardless of whether it is wanted). In any case, it sounds like your cat just doesn't really like your dog very much. If he gets neutered (and doggie, too), then he may change his mind in time. Until then, use a squirt gun to discourage kitty from being a jerk, but getting them neutered is probably your best bet.

First of all, if she is a female cat it is more than likely that she is pregnant. I suggest calling your vet or even taking her there just to be sure either way. If she isn't pregnant she might be sick with something.

The most obvious one would be she is pregnant if not maybe she is getting fed somewhere else cats are quite known to have two homes.

Well first thought is pregnancy of course. If not, my cat lived in the wild when he was a kitten (he was feral) and he had worms, which made his stomach bloat. We got him medication and, 8 years later, he's doing fine :)

She went out to meet her boyfriend(s) and they had fun. She now has a litter of baby kittens in her uterus which made her bigger. Take her to the vet.

Is it a female cat? Maybe she is pregnant? Maybe she is overeating?
