Let it. It won't hurt him, and you won't miss the flies. He may get broken of the habit one day. I had a friend that had a cat that was very good at catching flies, until one day he got a hold of a bee. He never chased flies from that point on.

You should really really be laughing about it.

Cats, even highly civilized cats like the one of yours, like very much to play with their preys, with their victims, with things and so also with ... flies, as your own cat does!

I can see for myself the picture of your cat snapping at flies in the air with its paw - it means that your cat is still a healthy cat, not yet weakened by the highly civilized cosy life in your own home.

Pass him the salt. The last fly I ate needed salt to be a bit more tasty. Also, a good chianti goes down well with fly though you cat might prefer a good merlot. There is no accounting for taste.

Get some SSS AVON to run the flies off first.
Cats tend to eat butterflies, and insects.
this is normal.

Cats always eat flies, all you need to do is just throw away your flypaper and watch them eat.

we live in "farm country", sorrounded by horses and dairy cattle. we rejoice when the cats "big game" hunt!
however, if you're concern is pesticides on the flies, which is unlikely to harm your cat in such a small amount, a squirt gun punishment w/a firm "NO!" when you catch them at it may work
