This is a poem not a quote, but if you like poetry I'm sure you'll enjoy this.
I don't love you as if you were the salt-rose, topaz
or arrow of carnations that propagate fire:
I love you as certain dark things are loved,
secretly, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that doesn't bloom and carries
hidden within itself the light of those flowers,
and thanks to your love, darkly in my body
lives the dense fragrance that rises from the earth.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where,
I love you simply, without problems or pride:
I love you in this way because I don't know any other way of loving
but this, in which there is no I or you,
so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand,
so intimate that when I fall asleep it is your eyes that close.
Pablo Neruda

"War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength" 1984 by George Orwell. Paradoxically its some how right. If your at war with a country then the attacking country is united, if you have to many choices you cannot decide whereas if someone didnt give you a choice you should be happy as you dont know any difference and it saves time umming and arring over such trivia and if youre ignorant then you think you are strong as youre ignorant. What a fun quote.

My word, i could be here all day reciting my collection of quotes that i have accumulated so far...
Here are some of my many favourites...
“If you cannot say what you mean, then you cannot mean what you say.”
“If you want the rainbow, you’re gonna have to put up with the rain.”
“If you want what you’ve never had, you’re going to have to do what you’ve never done before."
“The last place finisher always beats the non-starter.”
"Never be afraid to feel afraid."
And
The definition of success: "To laugh often and much; to win respect of intelligent people and the affections of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give one's self; to leave the world a little better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition.; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm, and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, this is to have succeeded." Emerson.
Believe me i have many more!!
Apologies that my favourite isn't just one. I feel so passionate about them all and i couldn't resist!
:o)

Churchill has all the best:
The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter.
I have taken more out of alcohol than alcohol has taken out of me.
I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.
There is nothing more exhilarating than to be shot at without result.
My rule of life prescribed as an absolutely sacred rite smoking cigars and also the drinking of alcohol before, after and if need be during all meals and in the intervals between them.
Perhaps it is better to be irresponsible and right, than to be responsible and wrong.
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.
and the best one:
I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

“There’s nothing wrong with having nothing to say unless you insist upon saying it”.
“Its not rocket surgery, its brain science”.
