The room I am working with is 10ft x 25ft. I love these couches, and yes they are burnt orange, but they are a beautiful leather and i have to work with them. I was thinking doing something dramatic like chocolate brown, but I don't know if that's too much. Aswell what colour tables could I put with it? Please help!

Burnt orange and chocolate do work together. I would use black tables. Go with softer shades of orange, gold and beige for curtains and throw pillows.

HOLY drama are you in for it. lol

:)

For a less dramatic but still beautiful look, why not try a subtle peach on the wall. Then decorate with light lime green accessories and fabric with hints of gold and mustard. Then, use either pine finish on tables or black.

:)

Sounds like a long narrow room. Dark colors will make the room look smaller. You could paint the smaller end walls in a dark color and the larger walls something lighter. I've done this in 2 living rooms with good results. Go to your paint store and get a bunch of the color sample cards. Bring them home and see how they match up with the couches. For the tables, I would go with a light wood finish. I like contrasting colors.

Take a picture of your furniture or take a cushion if you can remove them over to a home depot or other store where you plan on buying the paint. Some stores have some good computer programs that you can use to match up or coordinate colors.

Avoid Dark colors on walls(They limit size and light)
If you have to use an Opaque Color-then paint only one wall!
Use a Pale color with a hint of chocolate brown-This creates depth and space!
Use Darker co-ordinates around the room to add Impact!

well you need to pick a conversation piece. Something that goes well with the couches, pick a color from that. I would definetly consider a brown, it would be beautiful. But first find something that will go in the room, a vase, rug, painting, something that is the main focal point of this area.

the coordinating color for orange is blue
by saying that
buy a color wheel and see that the possibilities are.. you might even be able to down load one off the net
take in a cushion into the paint store and see what goes well..bring home some paint chips and see what looks best

My Mom LOVED burnt orange. She used Navy Blue & burnt orange, and accented with Bittersweet stuck in vases. It was nice.

go to a paint store and get the samples on paper and bring them home to compare. you can also take a digital picture and change the color of your walls in photoshop or something to get a rough idea of what it will look like when ur done.

brown would be cool. i would suggest take a picture of the room and take the picture tot he hardware store and start looking at color cards. then take the color cards you like home and compare next to the couches.

brown or beige could be good if you do it right...make sure that you have accessories to match and tie the room together. wood tables would be good, especially if they are darker....i would not do black...that would be WAY too halloween!
