I was recently diagnosed with an odd infection whose origins niether I or the doctors have been able to trace.

I DO HAVE THAT PEANUT BUTTER WITH THE CODE 2111 ON IT AND I DID EAT IT BEFORE I BECAME SICK.

This disease may be CHRONIC...I might have to deal with this crap for the rest of my life and I am so angry and depressed by it, and to know that some irresponsible company released this junk on me is just too much.

So if anyone is bringing about a class action lawsuit that I can join or that maybe I should start, please let me know.

I don't know if it's chronic, but the infection is "prostatitis", which is acute now but the chances of it becoming chronic are 50%.

If you've contracted a chronic disease, most likely it's NOT from your peanut butter - that's being recalled for Salmonella, an illness that is not chronic and usually not deadly in healthy adults, etc. Throw out your jar of peanut butter just to be safe - but so far there's been no talk of a class action lawsuit and your chronic disease doesn't sound like it would fall into this group anyway. Instead of seeking legal counsel to sue - seek medical treatment to get better! Good luck.

The Peanut Butter thing is salmonella, which is cured easily with a dose of antibiotics. If you have something chronic, like some type of immune deficiency....then it is something before this. Unless, you can prove without a shadow of a doubt that the salmonella had caused your chronic disease to worsen. The burden of proof will be on you. Lawyers will have to go to a judge in order to certify the lawsuit as a class action. I'm sure if this should happen in the future, you'll either see it on the TV, newspapers, or even hear a spot on the radio advertising the firm that has the class action suit. Your best bet now, is to go to a well experienced firm and approach an attorney. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll want to settle out of court. If they don't, then be prepared....as I say again, the burden of proof will be on you. Best of luck to you.

First of all you need to have your doctors help you find out if your illness is directly realted to consuming the peanut butter that may or may not be tainted. If you can determine that it is in fact because of that then you have grounds to sue. If you can't and file a law suit not being able to prove that is where your illness originated from, then you dont have a leg to stand on. You need to have the proof at hand. You may need to go as far as having the peanut butter in question tested. Not just I had the peanut butter and now I'm sick so that must be it and now I'm going to sue. It may not be the cause at all.

You don't necessarily have to join a class action lawsuit. You can contact an attorney on your own. You have to prove it was the peanut butter that made you sick. The 'odd infection' you were diagnosed with must have a name, or your lawsuit has no merit.
Your doctor didn't give it a name? (rhetorical).

This gives me the answer to me getting the "flu" 3 out of 4 Tuesdays/ Wednesdays last Oct/ Nov.
I had been sucking on tablespoons of a jumbo can of 2111xxxxxxxxx peanut butter on weekends while on the computer. There is still some left in there, you tell me how to proceed.

I also had a child who became very ill after eating this peanut butter with 105.8 fever and was subjected to IV's and blood test. I will be very interested in any legal action that may take place.
The way I understand it, the makers of Peter Pan knew of this well in advance of my son eating their product.
Thanks for the post
