I went to the Grand Marival in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico for my honeymoon last year. It was about $1800 for the 2 of us for a week and it was all inclusive. (price includes flight) So only other money we needed was for extra activities or souvenirs. We had a blast! A couple excursions we went on were swimming with dolphins and going to las caletas (had a candlelit dinner oceanside!) Actually I put a review on tripadvisor.com if you want to read about it or see pictures that I put up. :) Oh and our honeymoon was in April but for the same resort my sister and her husband went in September and got a great rate of $1300 for the 2 of them
I also know 2 couples who went to the Smokey Mountains for their honeymoons and stayed in a cabin for a week. They stayed in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. There are tons of cabins in that area and most have hot tubs on the deck and jacuzzis inside. Very nice! Below is a link to the cabins they stayed at so you can see what I'm talking about. If you are going in the winter time it would be cold there but depending on what you like you may enjoy the cabin experience with fireplace and all.
Good luck with your search and congrats on getting married!! =)

Had the same problem Hawaii is not going to work for you with a 2000 budget. It is very expensive and over rated. If some place hot and the beach is what you want there are many other places that are beautiful you can go to. Try this site vacationstogo.com I used them to book my honeymoon but bought my airfare on my own. You do not want to be away and run out of cash or not be able to buy something

Look around at cruises. Everything is included except for shore excursions and alcoholic drinks. There are even some cruises in Hawaii for less than $1000 a person. I'm sure airfare is not included but you may find a deal. I'd suggest starting off looking for what you want at travelocity, then going to cruisecompete.com which is where you can post your quote from travelocity, then other travel agents will try to beat that price. My fiance and I are going on a cruise to Bermuda for our honeymoon for less than $2000 total.

Good luck!

Hawaii would be a beautiful place to go, but its also one of the most expensive place. You could try places that are simillar to that but a lot cheaper such as Mexico, Dominacan Republic, Flordia, Costa Ricia. These places have all inclusive which is great, and have just as wonderful view and weather like Hawaii. Try booking it when its not a busy season such as september, November. Its a lot less busy than and the tickets will be much cheaper. Look at your local travel agency or websites to do more research on the different packages and deals.

Well, you can do just about any place on a budget, it just has to do with the quality of your vacation. I would definately go talk to a travel agent. They get thier money from the companies whose vacations they sell not from you. Tell them you are firm on your price and see what they are able to reccomend.

I would also talk to someon from the Carnival Cruise. Two years ago my fiance and I went on a cruise around Mexico. It cost about 1000 for the two of us ina nice room (not a suite, but a nice room) and we spent another 500 on excursions, liquor, gifts, etc. You could definately take a nice cruise, maybe even to Hawaii. I would call CArnival rather than book it online as they might give you a upgrade or discount if you mention it is your honeymoon!

If you really want Hawaii, check with a travel agents to see when the fares and hotel stays might go down in price. Another idea is to create your own honeymoon registry. This is where people can donate money instead of gifts and you use it towards your honeymoon.

Good luck!!

Yep, it is a no-brainer. in case you understand which week you want to bypass on your honeymoon, e book an all inclusive holiday at a 5 superstar motel a million or 2 days in the previous you want to go away. the cost will be decrease then and also you'd be in a luxury motel that anybody else has paid $a million,000.00 to $a million,500.00 each and each and every for. for sure you would prefer to have your passport and vaccinations so as in the previous you go away. because that is all inclusive, you gained't want to spend the different money except cab fare to and from the airport in Oregon. Have a marvelous time!!

If you really want Hawaii, check with a travel agent who might be able to give you a deal. Otherwise maybe try a road trip? My husband and I took a road trip on our honeymoon to apple orchards. We were married in the fall and it had been tradition in my family to visit the orchards each year so we just took a nice long road trip together, stopping wherever we wanted and we can do it again every year :).

Good luck and congrats on your engagement!

Why do people always want big honeymoons? Why not spend it somewhere you can drive to that's interesting? Stay in a fancy hotel or B&B. Pocket the change and buy something great for your new digs.
