Am going to the States on Monday and flying with Delta.On their web site they say suitcase must not exceed 62 inch overall (Add height,width and depth) are they very strict ?

Yes, a friend of mine is a flight attendant for Delta and told me that they're very strict with dimensions so that all of the bags fit in the overhead. Sometimes they'll measure the bag and whether or not it fits through the security x-ray machine.

Americans are beyond strict... I once had a little tear on my suitcase and they were refusing to take it into the plane! I heard the new rule this past summer - - - > Weight: No more than 50 pounds.

Yes, and it's pretty expensive for the oversize baggage fee. I think they charge you something like $80.
