Yes, there are, lots of grandparents are raising their grandkids for one reason or another.

I'm not one of them though.

I'd better not have to but if it kept them from going into dangerous foster homes I would...I am thinking about this one as I'm also not into rescuing my adult sons and daughter but in this State children are getting murdered and raped in foster homes. We don't encourage our sons/daughter to drive their children to wrath via no discipline or time spent. I suppose it could happen in this family as both our ex's and their grandparents were lightweight parents and grandparents....the results were not good. We also don't encourage them to discipline their children into the hosipital. If our adult sons or daughters choose to drive their children wrath and run themselves into juvenile centers that are waiting opened armed to take children in and empty parents pockets .....

When my grandsweetie is here we love her bunches (always)and model to her if she's struggling with authority. Most of it has to do with consistancy which her home environment lacks but not here. Ironically her dad is mad at us because we do model consistancy..."why is it all about her...what about me" (rolls eyes) something he isn't getting right now in his life.
