There is really no way of knowing. I asked about the cylons and how they knew to believe in a God...while those on Gallactica believed in the "gods" plural and no one had a satisfactory answer (yes, I know its fiction, lol, I just wanted to know why that allegory was used in the show).

If aliens exist...and I do think there is an excellent chance they do...they may have a God and a religion that speaks to who or what they are.

An alien society would presumably have their own religions and their own deity(ies) which would be different than ours. While there may possibly be a common thread between their religions and our religions (a belief in something bigger than ourselves, life after death, moral code to live by, etc.) that may be the only similarities as each world would have it's own evolutionary stages.

I do not know about the same religion, because this depends on their degree of evolution. However, as for God, it will be the same. There is only One God, The only God.

How would we be made in gods image if aliens have the same religion?

If a creationist ever got to speak to an extra-terrestrial and explain how he didnt come from a monkey but was made from dust by an all-powerful sky fairy I think I might die with shame for humankind.

I think if aliens had any religion, it would be Buddhism hands down, not meaning to be arrogant, but if any culture is more advanced than this one, it has to have a religion with spirituality and not warmongering and dogma.

If aliens are truly of a higher intelligence, then they would not only have no religion, they would see no need for it.

Will they believe in a Supreme Being? Probably.
Will they call that being by a word that translates to "God" in English? Probably.
Will they have rituals and rites and special days to worship Him? Probably.
Will they be like ours? Probably not.

I think the aliens as we know of them are familiar spirits or fallen angels.
