No, i don't but I also feel that many of the kids now have not been taught basic manners...please, thank you, your welcome, yes ma'am, yes sir.
I've been trying to "beat" it into my own kids, but there are so many outside (peer) influences that sometimes I wonder how much of what I am trying to instill in them stays.
Its such an important part of communication and relationships.

Good manners involve ways of interacting with other people in a kind, considerate, and courteous way. To act along these lines is to show that we are being civilized human beings.
There should be no age limits put on this sort of thing, and the younger we learn to have good manners the better off everyone will be.

Great question! My answer is no. From birth, we should be teaching our children manners. I think society has gone mad with all of the rude people nowadays. Here's a perfect example.
One day, my husband and I took our 2 year old to the San Antonio Zoo. We were looking at the lions. As you know, cats in general are very lazy creatures. They sleep maybe 20 hours a day. Anyway, while we were there, the lions were snoozing. There was a family next to us and I overheard the dad teaching his 3 year old son to "CURSE" at the lions. "Get up stupid a--!"
Honestly, who is dumb enough to teach their children to curse? Obviously, he, as a parent had no manners. Plus, the mother just stood there, as if nothing happened!
Manners are for everyone! Young and old alike.

Good manner's are for everybody. Its just that now days the parents are not passing down the good manner's to their children and showing the kid's the need of good manner's.

No, good manners should be with you through your whole life. If just 'old' people had good manners, then they would be separated from the youthful, you know?

If good manners are only for old people, then direct me to the nearest nursing home, because they're the people I want to be with.

Not at all! I believe that everyone can benefit from the basic tenets of proper etiquette...the receiving end of the courtesy often feels very appreciative and are more likely to help YOU out when it's needed.

No. If you don't have good manners when you're young, you're not going to all of a sudden have them when you hit 50.

No, I think it's important to be polite and respectful no matter how old you are. Of course, the definition of "polite and respectful" may differ for different groups of people. For instance, some people think it is impolite not to say "please" at the dinner table with their families; while others think it's only necessary if you are in a restaurant.
