If you have Great Foods (?) or Peter Pan with a lid/number starting with 2111 it may contain salmonella. Be sure to check it. You can find information at Conagra.com I think it is.

Yes, I also bought 3 jars of GreatValue© 40oz peanut butter with the 2111 number. Went through all three jars. ( I eat allot of pb for hypoglycemia ). And never got sick.

Go check Peter Pan and Great Value brands with the serial # starting with 2111. It said to get rid of it b/c it may have salmonella. I found a jar I just bought and threw it out. Great Value is usually sold in Wal-Mart Their generic brand.

I have eaten Peter Pan peanut butter in the past few weeks with the code they are now warning people about - "2111" and I have not been sick from it.. so I myself am wondering if it had salmonella in it.. I should have gotten sick from it, right? as that is what brought me to your question.. am I looking up info on it. but I won't eat anymore of it.

Thank you! I was just watching the news, and the reporter said that there was a peanut recall, and that he would give us the details on the NEXT news program! I couldn't believe he said that! So, thanks to you, I can go check my peanut butter NOW!

Thanks, although I heard about it on the news your post gave me more information which lead me to retrieve answers to my questions that the media did not provide. I just started eating peanut butter again and it was that same brand. But thank GOD ALMIGHTY I did not get sick!
