SamT-a self proclaimed expert on evolutionary biology stated "There is cold blooded, and there is warm blooded, there is not even a word to describe anything between those two words." yet he obviously isn't aware of the Great white shark. It is cold blooded like all fish yet has a biological mechanism that allows it to warm blood to above the ambient water temperature.

It is therefore a cold blooded creature that can regulate its body temperature. Does this expose Sam T as a charlatan who has plenty of rhetoric but no genuine knowledge of natural history?

Sam T sets himself up as an expert-I only seek to expose his lack of any genuine knowledge about biology.

Kikn4JC,
I will do in due course. I have no fear of challenging the arguments of any creationist expert. Letters after someone's name don't impress me.

Matt A,
It is called Poikilothermy- a mechanism whereby cold blooded creatures can regulate their body temperature and it's something that Sam T would have known about if he had any real knowledge of biology.

I've already been in a conversation with him, and it only took me about 8 seconds to determine that he's along the ranks of people like "Dr." Dino.

There are numerous mechanisms by which "cold-blooded" creatures regulate their body temperatures. He also neglected the fact that the monotremes (egg-laying mammals -- the platypus and echidna) have lower body temperatures than the marsupials, which in turn have lower body temperatures than placental mammals. The echidna can shut off it's warm-bloodedness to conserve energy in cold temperatures.

lmao.. how about these examples also?
Bats, for example, are mammals who cannot maintain a constant body temperature and cool off when they are not active.
Echidnas maintain a range of body temperatures which usually lies between 77 and 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit and have difficulty cooling down.
Mole Rats are another group of mammals who are unable to regulate their body temperature, however, since they live underground, the temperature of their environment does not change much.
Some warm-blooded animals, such as bears, groundhogs, gophers and bats hibernate during the cold winter. During hibernation these animals live off of stored body fat and can drop their body temperatures by as much as 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Hawk Moth is an insect which can raise its body temperature well above the temperature of its surroundings when it is flying because of its huge wing muscles which generate heat when in use.
Bees are another example of insects that can raise their body temperatures above that of their environment by moving their wings rapidly to generate heat.

No, honestly I don't know if that is something in the middle. That fish doesn't rely on a external energy source to heat itself. A reptile needs to sit in the sun to get heat, the fish doesn't. How is it cold blooded then? I was willing to accept that there is a creature, but I don't really see this fish as cold blooded.

I don't think I took him seriously as an evolutionary biologist when he claimed that birds evolving from reptiles meant crocodiles jumping off cliffs.

one self-proclaimed expert doesn't speak for all creationists!
NOTE THE SELF-PROCLAIMED section there.
Why don't you try and refute a creationist who knows what they are talking about? Try Dr. James Dobson "Evidence that demands a verdict", and then post a question that is worth answering!
I want my 2 points.
