as long as you have the room and don't mind the caretaking and the birds are happy and heathly, then there's not too many until you think you've reached your limit. I have had up to 7 large parrots in my home and one time (macaws and cockatoos) and I know that was my limit.

Many places have laws that restrict the number of pets you may have, but birds won't be so noticeable as maybe 19 large dogs, so no one would complain. I don't know your conditions...maybe you have an aviary set up, but I had only a few parakeets and the feathers eventually find their way everywhere. It sounds like a lot of work (more than most are willing to devote to pet care) but if you enjoy it...have fun. Maybe you can start a business raising them...sounds like you're successful at it.

I have 4 cockatiels and a budgie, and have no problem with them at all. Several friends also have five or 6 birds, and I have known several people who raised birds and sold them, from their own homes..

If your young ones are friendly (and especially if you have spent some time finger-training them,) then they should be easy to sell. .

Post notices in a supermarket or whatever is near you, and ask at a veterinarian office as well, as they not only have advice to officer, but they often have bulletin boards..

It sounds like you don't mind taking care of them,so as long as they are cared for, go for it. If I could, I would have more, but cages take room, and I have a small house. We had a quaker parrot, and a green cheeked conure when I was asked to take a family members cockatiel. After we got her settled in our family, my husband joked and said "there's one more corner, for one more cage" I really don't want to go there, like I said, the house is small. Good Luck!

You should consider building an outdoor aviary if you intend to keep that many birds.
