Like everyone said, call the patriot riders.
These worthless pieces of crap protested a very good friend of mine that was killed in afghanistan. I couldnt attend his funeral because i was in iraq at the time, but i probably would make a sign like they have to get close, than just start swinging. I don't care if i get arrested.

And to the guy who said did he need to be in iraq, or did he have adequate protection.....you need to keep those views to yourself at a time like that, enjoy your freedom of speech, but have some damn manners.

Westboro baptist church I am assuming??? They come here almost monthly to protest. You need to contact your state rep. on this one. Here they have made it illegal to protest at funerals.
I can already tell you what is going to happen tomorrow. There will be between 8-10 "members" holding signs saying "god bless the IEDs" and "god hates fags", yelling and chanting all the way back to their little white conversion van. Its really kind of sad.
The best way to handle them is to not go near them.
They are a family full of attorneys who actually profit from the protests, by making people mad enough to attack them. Then they sue for profit.
Thats all it is for. I know its hard to avoid them, but if anyway possible check with your county today to see if there is anyway they can block off the area to non funeral attendees.
The Rev. Phelps is just a thief in a ministers suit.
Check out their website sometime at : Godhatesfags.com, its ridiculous.

OMG - someone needs to teach them some manners and common sense. How can they dare protest at the funeral of any fallen soldier? I thought that Baptists were Christians - I know that Christ would never do anything like this!

I think it's time we started taking these scum suckers to task. They can protest under the guise of a Christian religion all they want, the fact is their bones will break just the same if someone decides it is time to kick in their jaws.

Their venue for protest is completely off base, and the cops should just stay away and let the anti, anti war protestors take care of matters.

That is really horrible. Maybe you can tell someone at a local tv station so they can show the world just how sick these people are. Maybe let the police know that you expect the protesters to be there and see what they can do.

Call the police NOW and inform them of the protest at the funeral.

Are you in Illinois and/or are you referring to Westboro Baptist Church? You can invite the Patriot Guard to block the view of the protesters.

First, they are not "Baptist". They are from the whacked-out "Westboro Baptist Church", which isn't really Baptist at all.

Call the Patriot Guard Riders. They will create a buffer between the bigots and the grieving family and friends.

Tell them God made us all the same. Whether its Baptist, or what-ever (I'm not going to say what I am) I do not agree with the topic, how-ever I can not, will not, ever judge another person. Thats God's place. May our Lord and Master watch over the Service tomorrow.
