I never give flowers for a holiday. Flowers are a gift that should be given for no reason in particular. Flowers for no special reason say, "I think about you when you are not around." Flowers for a holiday or birthday say, "I couldn't think of anything better to get you."
I bought my girl (the love of my life) tickets to a concert and some Thai take out - we think doing things together is one of the best gifts to give - especially in this busy 'ol world that we live in.

If my husband bought me flowers on Valentine's Day I'd serve them up for his dinner! I've got all the diamonds I require so he bought me a new leather office chair to stop my back hurting when I use the pc. I was chuffed to bits. Full marks to my hubby! So I prepared fullet steak and all the trimmings for dinner - yum yum x

My husband isn't big on Valentines. I was actually kind of surprised that he brought home a thing of candy and a little velvet rose for my daughter and I both. We had a quick dinner though Sunday just him and I. Avoid the crowd but then the weather stopped us from doing anything else yesterday!

I wouldn't want a diamond if i had to nag him into getting it for me, or any other gift I had to whine and complain for. I like to get gifts because the person genuinely wants to give me one, not because they feel if they don't they will never hear the end of it. Valentines day is a bit of a scam in my opinion and I'm amazed at how many women place such a huge importance on it.

neither. he works out of town and doesn't get home til late, so I surprised him with a fully decorated room, including rose petals on the bed, lingerie, candles and mood music. Who says we should expect the man to do all the giving? I did a little giving, and believe me, he did the rest!

my relationship is not like that at all.
my bf proves every day by how he treats me how he feels.
every day is valentines day when we celebrate our love.
i wanted nothing. i got a sweet phone call. was touched and happy. i have no desire for diamonds, flowers or anything like that.
