Why did St. Cyril of Jerusalem say that each of us are Christs. St. Cyril Christ, St. Peter Christ, Billy Graham Christ, etc.?

Religious people want to treat the symbol of their religion with the highest regard so no one can claim to be the icon. In a society that commercial copyright is so important, saying "I am Tiger Woods" will be a problem too although not insane.

It could come from insanity or just pure, wicked rebellion.

For someone to claim to be Jesus is a lie. Anyone who studies the Bible knows that we are not going to have to find Jesus when He returns, He will find us. All those poor souls, who get involved in cults with leaders claiming to be Jesus and then they end up killing themselves, are so misguided. If they had only read the Bible, they would have known.

To say you are Tiger Woods--would not matter to me either way. It has no bearing on my life whatsoever. I worship no one but God.

No.

Yes. Jesus was the most perfect man to live the earth he committed no sin. So if you have committed one that makes your statement not true which I'm sure you have done because we all do thats apart of our nature. However you can say that your a christian which means "Christ like". But no sweetie don't confuse ppl you are not Jesus.

You should desire to be as much like Jesus as you possibly can, but there is no way you can say you are anyone but who you are.
