I'm atheist, and the two examples are actually mine...I "know" they're not true but still...

I have a few superstitions...

Things like lucky shirts and so on.

Of course its annoying and I know they have no logical basis, but I still cannot overcome them.

I have this irrational belief that one day, people will stop their worship of archaic, misogynist writings and find God within them and within all things in existence. I know,I know, crazy right? I hold on to this belief none the less.

I hate snakes. Rationally, I understand that most aren't harmful and that they're a valuable part of the biosphere and whatnot, but I would still rest easier tommorrow if every snake on earth died tonight.

I'm sure there are plenty. The only thing any of us have in common is a disbelief in a divinity. Beyond that, the field is wide open.

Lucky 3...I play it ever time.

Two days ago I spun a few dimes on red 3 at the Bellagio.

I lost...but it was just money...nothing substantial.

Probably. I'm afraid of spiders, even ones that aren't poisonous or aggressive, that's pretty irrational.
I used to believe that people or objects could be lucky or unlucky, but I grew out of it.

I am a whitewater rafting enthusiast but will not go ice fishing because walking on the ice wigs me out.

I'm irrationally afraid of driving across bridges... and my mother has "read my mind" enough times to make me irrationally think maybe there really is something to that "mothers know everything" business. (Seriously. I live 4 hours away from her and she called me today to tell me I need to eat something--and I haven't eaten yet today. Weird.)

I hate ticks. I think they will crawl under my skin.

I also think that my uncle told me (after his death) to play ABBA at his funeral. Come to find out, he loved ABBA.

I believe humans really can turn this planet around, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
