Well first kudos to what's-her-name. You may very well be on a computer that has Windows 2000, XP, or Vista and don't have administrative access. If your account does have Admin rights or your in Windows 98se please skip this next paragraph.
You need to login to an administrative account, normally called "administrator". You need this because your account is not allowed to install software. Mind you some install programs might get around this, but some don't. This might mean talking to the administrator (if it's not you, don't talk to yourself), who might be your boss, parent, or resident tech guy.
If you have administrative access, or use windows 98se, you have a serious problem with your registry. If this is your computer you should seriously consider either paying someone to fix your computer, or you could format your windows partition (hard drive) and reinstall your software. Hopefully this is not your problem, but if it is Yim me and I will walk you through the reconstruction of your software.
If however this is not your computer, you shouldn't be installing software w/o their say so. So you should talk to the owner, or his tech guy.
