It seems like a huge difference in age, but it's really not. The only thing is, most boys aren't very mature when in the 9th grade. In maturity, 2 years can make a world of difference at his age.
But if it feels right, go for it! You may get some heat from other 11th graders, including friends.

Age is just a #, not that bad of a big age difference anyways, when I was a freshmen I dated a Senior, no big deal. It was even better, relationship wise chemistry was good, it was so much fun and I got along just fine with my Senior boyfriend...Ended up finding out later on when we broke it off after High Schools years we really were meant to be together. He left to the Army and I rekindled back with an ex boyfriend, still w/him and think of my High School love...

i know you've probably heard this a million tims but age aint nothing but a number. I know this 11th grader, she's in class with me right now, and she talks to a 9th grader. So there is nothing wrong with liking someone who is a few years younger than you whether you are male or female.

Well I know it is kinda weird, but I am a 12th grader, and sometimes it's ok. However, my word of caution is boys are immature, normally you want to date guys older than you however, you can't help who you like. Just go see a movie as friends and mention to him that you like him and it's obvious that he likes you. If you are worried what friends will think if you like him and they are your friends they wont care, and if they do then they are not your friends. I hope this helps. Just try not to get overly serious because you are going to be going to collage soon and that makes for hard times (personal expierence) so best of luck!

go for it, I've done it both ways. I dated a 10th grader as a senior, and I've also dated a 27 year old, when I was 19. Don't worry about age and what other people say,it's all about how you two feel for each other. Plus, you're young, go out and have fun!!!

I definately think you should go for him i mean age doesn't matter!!i am a senior in high school and i dated a freshman, but the only thing that you have to look out for is their maturity level b/c yall are probably on totally different pages when it comes to that!!

I know that seems like a big deal now but that is not a huge age difference at all! As long as he is mature enough for you go with it, but don't try to make him someone he's not, if he's immature it probably won't work.

I say life's too short not to give it a try. You're young and you'll probably date lots of people, so 10 years from now you probably won't even remember his name. Go for it.
