not all there are natural cycles in the planets life
but a lot is influenced by mans existance ,and this is increasing with overpopulation, putting strains on Natural resources and increasing contaminations as well as destructions of essential componants the ensure living conditions for all life forms
some home truths
politicians and scientists who work for politicians have downplayed the facts because solutions are expensive and means change and change effects many people income, and most of the world is kept in the dark of the real things that are going on.
in North Africa,India,Mexico ,millions of people are effected by land loss and desertification
in recent times thousands of people have died because of exessive heat, usually old people.in India ,Mexico and France,
deforestation causing desertification, the desert conditions causing very cold nights and scorching hot days
in china, thousands of what used to be farmers are running for their lives from the dust storms that have burried their towns and turned their lands into dessert, the globe where they were got to hot for them .
and instead of producing food they are now needing it from some where else, and they will drastically effect the world food prices when they start buying water in the form of grains ,at any cost destabalising governments, in some countries ,could be the result
(are you seeing more Chinese around interested in agricultural lands ,we do here in Mexico)
,the Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year
and all of the desserts we know are a results of mans actions ,and they are increasing ,not getting less ,in the dinosaurs days ,there were no desserts.
collectively this planet is drying up because of bad farming practices like, over grazing and fertilizers,
as far as the food production is concerned, Global warming or some of its effects are serious, rising seas result in landloss
each degree rise in temperature means 10%crop loss
more landloss because of desertification every year,we have less areble land to produce food ,for an extra 70 million people ,
and there is less and less water (because of deforestation),to irrigate this production ,
and there are less and less farmers to do it..
who are overpumping deep carbon aquifiers
who are plowing more and more unstable lands because they have lost so many million hectares to desertification ,
because of bad farming practises ,such as using fertilizers and heavy machinary or over grazing
RISING SEAS
The northpole is melting ,and we will know it without ice in our life times.
this does not affect the sea level because it is ice that is already in the water.but the melting ice from Green land and the south pole ,are another matter.
Global warming is in theory reversable, but it will mean global co operation between all countries ,and taking into account human nature and the world politics ,it is unlikely that this will happen,
At least not untill we are all in the middle of planetary disastres and it becomes a battle for the survival of humanity every where.
SOLUTIONS
if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to reverse the destructive processes
reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.
the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.
the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia
Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.
the protection of existing forrests.
stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.
education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.
education on environmental awareness
education on family planning to curb over´populaion
Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.
more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks
,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour
alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine
recicling wastes,limit water use

Global warming is at the fore front because politicians found how to use a new platform to get re-elected. The world leaders use it because they found ways to make money at it. This is a made up problem just like Global Cooling in the 1970's. Wake up people. I agree we need to be more efficient with our resources, and we should fine and jail companies who are dumping into our rivers maliciously. I want to stop the raiforest destruction, but to say that global warming is a serious man made issue and we need to destroy the American economy and bow down to the rest of the world certainly does not float my boat. Follow the money on this one and you will see that it is all for political gain and grant money for those scientists who profit off of the government if global warming stays at the front of the issues. Look deep into the Keoto (sp?) Treaty, first of all they took jets to a non-central resort location. Not very environmentally concious. THen in the parameters of the treaty they have a clause that makes it so you can buy or sell polution credits. This is all about shifting wealth and breaking down the United States. This is painfully obvious, just look at peoples agenda. The earth's mean temperature has risen .6 degrees C in the past 125 years. Greenland's icecaps have gotten colder in the past 10 years. The Scientists who do not gain anything on their posisition will tell you that the earth has a natural progression and this is what we are seeing. The UN report is made up of POLITICIANS not a good spread of scientists. THere are as many or more scientists who believe that man in NOT the reason and it is over hyped, but their voice is not heard in the LIberal Mainstream Media. This issue is 99% political, and an attempt to make the USA a socialist nation, and eventually communisim. WAKE UP AMERICA, IT IS TIME TO BE AMERICANS. FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE. STOP THE LIES

There is some slight warming of the earth's oceans, and that is being made by an undersea volcano in the Pacific Ocean and thermal fissures between the tectonic plates of Africa and South America that are emitting temperatures of several thousand degrees Fahrenheit from the earth's core.
Have you ever been able to heat water by burning a carbon match over a pan of water? No? That's what the global warming alarmists would have you believe. Laws of physics just do not work that way.
How about heating water from a source underneath the water, like a stove? Yes, that works! Water rises to the surface and emits a gaseous form called steam!
Empirical evidence and everything we know over the last several thousands of years is thrown right out the window by this junk science.
Life thrives in warmer climes. Look at the tundra, for instance where it is always cold and vegetation and animal life are sparse.
Look at the equator where plantlife abounds and so do countless species.
Duh!

First of all, I want to state that I am all for cleaning up our enviroment. I believe it's humanity's responsibility to take care of our planet. I spent several years in Germany, where recycling is required by law and nuclear energy is used, which I hope someday the U.S. will adopt. That said, I have heard several noted scientists speak on the subject, have read many articles and books on the topic and have to say that, despite popular opinion, I think the evidence for global warming is shaky at best. The best and shortest argument I've heard to dispute global warming was by a scientist who pointed to the grape viineyards in England. For hundreds of years, some long periods of time England would be warm enough to grow grapes. Then, for a long period of time it would be too cold. Then they could grow again. Then, they couldn't, so the warming of the Earth is likely just a cycle that our planet goes through. When you also consider that the only evidence they have is that the planet is somewhere like 1.8 degrees warmer and that the basis for that was temperature readings from, what, 1906? I'm not sure I'd be too quick to believe in the accuracy of the temperature record from a century ago. =)

Global Warming is a phenomenon that is a natural cycle of the earth, but has been exacerbated and sped up by man's huge contribution of CO2, methane, and other greenhouse gasses to the atmosphere.
This is one of those snowball effect type problems, that we can't just fix. When I tell people that I'm getting a degree in Environmental Science, some say, "oh good we need more of you working on that global warming and all that" when really isn't it everyone's job? This is not something that we need a team of specialists working on to find the cure. We need a team of educators, telling everyone how they can cut back drastically quickly, and how a change in demand will cause a change in the market (for example, if a ton of people switch to electric cars, they'll start making more of them). Sorry if this seems like I'm venting, because I am, but there's my spiel. :)

No - global warming is not man-made.
Cavemen weren't driving SUVs, working in huge factories or chopping down the rainforests.
Volcanic erruptions have probably put more global warming gasses into the air than anything mankind has ever done.
However, that doesn't mean that mankind isn't contributing to global warming. The only thing that can be debated is just HOW MUCH is mankind contributing.

No...and yes. The earth is in the tail end of an ice age. The earth is naturally warming per it's heating/cooling cycle. Because of this, the temperatures we see now are warmer than they were 100 or 200 years ago (in the picture of Washington crossing the Delaware river, there are icebergs because there were icebergs in the river that year).
Humans ARE speeding the cycle up however by adding pollutants and increaseing greenhouse gases to the atmosphere.
Would the earth warm up naturally if we weren't here, yes. Do we affect the earth's natural cycle with pollution, yes.

guy-made international warming has continually been a hoax. In 2006, whilst the UN declared guy-made international warming a actuality, they relied upon a record from NASA to accomplish that. The NASA scientist who wrote the record hence got here out and stated that NASA had bumped off two paragraphs from his record. One bumped off paragraph stated that there become no info that greenhouse gases have been in charge for the factors differences we've been seeing, and the different stated that there become no info that human pastime become in charge for the greenhouse gases. however the UN did what maximum companies do whilst they have a element they desire to tutor. they only disregarded the info that disprove what they wanted to tutor. In different words, they only lied. and then the media parroted the lie so usually for see you later that a lot of human beings in basic terms don't comprehend that it incredibly is baloney.
