The Beta Israel or the Ethiopian Jews are neither. They most certainly do eat meat. Perhaps you referring to the Black Hebrews (like in Dimona)? They are vegetarians.

i dont know, but i do know that if i lived in israel i wouldnt mind eating fruit and vegatables all day every day. they have terrific salads there ;)
