So like many people I have been having troubles finding out when I am going to get my refund. Origanally on www.irs.gov is said I should have my return by Feb 20th. Then yesterday, it was changed to Feb 27th.

I called the IRS this morning and at this point have been on the phone for an hour and a half. I got through to a man once - he said his ID informaiton and I didn't get all of it, and I asked him to repeat it and he said "Sorry Ma'am you should have gotten it the first time, how can I help you?" So I started telling him what I wanted to know and he cut me off and started asking me id questions - name amount of refund... and when he got to my filing date I didn't know off hand and when I asked him to hold on really quick while I grab my other paper he said "Ma'am I don't have time to wait for you". I mumbled something about that being rude, and he said "Ma'am if you think I am rude, you should call back in and talk to someone else". And then he hung up. Stupid mean IRS man.

what a doodie head...and no they are not all like that...obviously the joy of being a civil servant has worn off... i think if u cant be nice time to find another job...i have to call the IRS several times a week different agents different departments and no matter how messed up the clients situation may be they have all been helpful and nice even...
if u have access to the Internet...
go to www.irs.gov on this page u will see a link that says where's my refund click that that takes you to another pages towards bottom of that page another link wheres my refund click there./

now you have to have you social security number your filing status (single head of household, married etc) and the exact amount of your refund then submit and this will tell you when your refund is scheduled to disbursed

now FYI your refund will probably be in this weekend ..the normal IRS disb dates are Fridays for both Dir Dep and paper, but the IRS reports disb on the following Tuesday...due to slow mail or bank processing time so that they do now get a gazillion calls asking for their refund when the IRS has already disbursed it...so theoretically they wont get hounded til Tuesday giving the mail and banks time to get it there
hope this helps

How rude! I can't believe that agent would say that you should of gotten the ID number the first time, let alone telling you he had no time to wait! But WE have all the time in the world to wait on hold forever to talk to them???! LOL! Don't let it get to you---he could of been having a bad day, although that is no excuse to be rude either. I have only had positive IRS employees on the phone so maybe if you have his ID number---even part of it---you can report him and file a complaint.

That's really too bad that they changed the date of your refund like that! My return was processing for a long time with the Feb 20 date on it, then on Wed it upgraded to a Feb 16 deposit date--but that date is still there today so I am hoping it's right and will go through. That stinks that you now have to wait another whole week! :<( Just keep checking though cause maybe they will update it again soon.

DId you get any of his ID # if so call the IRS and ask for a managerial call back. You can then talk to a manager and give the information to a manager. All calls are recorded so if you know what time it was you called that helps
The Manager will call you back within 24 hrs
