Took a picture of something turning the camera sideways. So the photo is longer than wider. How can I make this picture a little wider without distorting the picture too much. I would like the picture to fill out the frame. (no, I can't turn the frame the other direction) It's a 4 x 6 picture. The frame is also a 4 x 6. So even if I have to add a border or something. I've never done any photo cropping or resizing so if you can help or give me a site with directions and ideas I would really appreciate it.

Do you have photoshop? u can do it there. if you'd like, send me the pic and ill do it for u.

I would suggest increasing the size of the picture slightly then cropping though instead of stretching it.

If you have a scanner, it is possible to re-size the photo in the scanning process. If not, try clicking on the photo--if a left click doesn't work, do a right click--both work on my system. If a border or a series of little squares appear around the photo, click and hold on any of the corner squares. Then gently pull the mouse until you have the desired size. By enlarging (or decreasing) the size using only a corner will eliminate the distortion. If you use squares in the middle of any of the sides, the photo becomes distorted.

got to the start menu> all programs> accessories> paint>i mage> stretch and skew.... add more percentage to make it bigger or take away some percentage to make it smaller.....only chaneg horizantal and vertical leave skew alone ok.
