I don't think people here are very understanding of another person's emotions, especially if it concerns a topic about relationships or sex. When someone asks a personal question on that kind of topic, immediately everybody (well, not all but most of them do) gets hot and bothered and starts flaming the questioner and make him/her feel bad about it; when instead they should understand and address the person's problem or fault & give a constructive opinion on how to remedy it and make the person feel better.
I mean I understand the fact that some topics like "beating my gf", "raping", etc. deserve flames, but you should realize that not all questions are of that sort. I mean, wouldn't you rather prefer if someone would address your concerns in a polite manner, rather than forcibly pointing out that you are wrong or you are right, you should only do this, otherwise you go to hell...?

I understand that people can be especially rude at times, but you also have to understand that when you ask a question on here, you are asking thousands and thousands of different people. There are so many different types of personalities out there in the world and by asking a question, you're opening yourself up to many different kinds of feedback. You're asking for people's opinions, and they are giving them to you.

Obviously, most people would want constructive criticism over destructive any time.. Yes, I think people should be understanding... But one also has to understand that not all people are equipped with speaking in a peaceful manner. Now, the whole thing about "otherwise you will go to hell", personally, I think that's imposing religious beliefs, which is NOT okay... It's one thing expressing your opinion, negatively/positively, and it's another imposing your thoughts and making a person feel as though they are the ignorant ones... I may have got off topic... Point is, not everyone has good etiquette, because of that, even the person questioning, should not take offense of what is being said...

First you must understand that there is no age limit on here. So you might be getting an answer from a 12 year old. With a 12 year old mentally. Judging by the spelling in some answers I would say this is true. Unfortunately not all people are nice. Even if they know ya. So just ignore the ugly people they are just bored and looking for entertainment at your expense.

First of all, this is the internet. People feel like they don't have to be nice to some stranger that they can't see on the internet, just want to get points, or are "joking".
If people on here were kind and polite, I'd be VERY happy. But I know that won't happen. People are hardly act like that in *real life*. People are clos-mined in real life. WHy wouldn't they be on the internet??
You must also remember that KIDS get on here a lot. Why, I'm not sure. They have NO idea what they are talking about and post something silly!

I'm sorry but this is the real world and the majority of people in this world are cold-hearted and senseless. I am only 14 and I can't stand most people in this world. I also believe that there is no hope for peace in the future, not anymore anyway. I'm happy someone finally asked this question!

You know, you are right, because there are people who really wants good answers and at the same time feel good that they can hear others about their opinions or whatever experiences they had ; but you can't also blame others who goes for jesting bcoz , answer is for everybody and the questionaires are at the mecry of all. So most likely, if there will be positive answers there will also be negative too. I just hope that people refrain from answering questions that doesn't concern them.

Yeah, not a whole lot of people take it very seriously. It seems like it was intended as a real reference resource, but the points system means that people will just write whatever they feel like rather than giving you a good answer.

If someone puts themselves out there and asks a question to the general population, then the general population should give them their true opinions, and not candy coat it. I do agree that some people are just being disgusting for the sake of being disgusting and I could do without that, but I guess we can always report them as abusers of the system.

Yes, I agree with you. I think if you don't like a question or you lack the empathy to answer it, then you should just leave it alone. Why upset the asker?
(I too, mean the people who write serious questions not silly ones or ones about abusive behaviors)

Most definitely. Many people answer questions with emotion rather than intellect. Some of these questions do deserve rude and obnoxious answers though.
