What are other people's opinion about running the car of tomorrow in NEXTEL CUP ?????

You asked for opinions and so I will give mine.

They say it is all about safety, but I think they decided to do it so that the usual argument about the differences between Ford and Chevy would end. Seems like every year we would hear from them complaining the other one had an unfair advantage because the standards were different. If they have exactly the same body style--there is no difference in them and that complaint is taken away.

Personally--I wish they would have left it alone. I am afraid that the car manufacturers will cut their support of NASCAR. I mean your average person does NOT want to say," I bought this car because it's a motor that originally started out made by this manufacturer won on Sunday" They want to say, "I bought this Ford because Ford won the most races."

Thanks for letting me express my opinion.

I like it. It takes one big step to keeping the cars as equal as possible. Now it puts more pressure on the drivers and teams to perform.

It takes the drag characteristics of the different car bodies out of the equation. More like the IROC races. Same bodies, same engines. Now it is up to talent, strategy and luck to win.

Hopefully, it might be easier to keep the crews from tweeking the car bodies to. I bet with one template, it will be a lot easier to catch any cheating.

i imagine the COT is yet another of the France households massive jokes. ALL vehicles will be an identical and your Chev, Ford or steer sparkling of particularly received't advise a spit. If something is going to make me lose intrest in nascar, that's it. Nascar has more desirable rule transformations than a gaggle of grade college youthful little ones on the plyground.

15 races 2 on road coarse 13 on tracks less than 1.5 miles. The first race is on the shortest track.nascar wants to show how safe it is .Maybe some day they be able to make the brick go fast.

It'll make it like the IROC races... cars all the same, just the skill of the drivers and the pit crews to decide who wins.. kinda BORING when you look at it that way....

I don't like it. Bring back "old school", when cars, drivers and crews had less regulations and rules.
