A "Cape Cod"(Vodka & Cranberry Juice) May be something you would enjoy. The cranberry Juice really knocks out the alcholic taste from the drink...My wife enjoys them for that reason.
"Alize'" Is a Bottled drink about 18% alchol and comes in many flavors but doesnt pack the punch Liqour does.
Tequila and the soft drink Squirt is a good mixer too. Smooth with the essence of tequila and citrus and gets you buzzed.
I personally drink to wind down after a long day or if I'm stressed out.Quite regularly a half a pint to my head does me fine.
My personal Favorite is the "Cape Cod" but I also like Brandy and Coke or Rum and Coke.

I am not sure if there are any sweet tasting drinks on the market. But I do know that Sex on the Beach, Screwdriver, and several others are sweet tasting. If you would like some recipes check out http://www.giftwrapandmore.com and look under mixed drinks and party drinks for some different alcoholic drinks.

Well here is your problem. The reason for the sweetness is to cover up the flavor of the alcohol. If you don't sweeten up the drink, it is going to taste strong. The closest thing that I can think of that is not too sweet and does not taste as strong would be a mojito. Crush 5 or 6 mint leaves up with .75 oz of simple syrup, squeeze about half a lime cut up in wedges and add 2 oz of your favorite rum. Add ice and shake, top with soda water. It is going to taste minty but not too sweet.

personally, i cant take straight alcohol. i have to have a mixed drink. they are SOOO much better. you cant even taste the alcohol if they are made right.
you should make some blue hawaiians.
1 shot blue curacua
1 shot light rum
1 shot creme de cocao
8oz of pineapple juice
*combine all in a shaker, shake well, pour over ice. add a cherry if you want!
mmmmm

Why bother? Just drop the idea of drinking if you havent liked the taste (better than becoming an alcoholic). Good for your financial and physcial health. Why take all the trouble for something that can be avoided in your own interest ;-)

Yes , there are sweet drinks . But blieve me : the real test of alcohol is pungent ; because it's pungent . It disturbs our tranquility & our happyness .

Fuzzy navel. It tastes like peaches and orange juice.
Or try a vodka lemonade. It tastes more like lemonade than vodka.
