i dunno maybe it means theres crumbs in the bottom of the pot?

The only reference I can find to "pot crumbs" is talking about marijuana crumbs, like bits of it that are dropped on the table or whatnot while making a joint. There's no culinary reference to it on the internet that I could find.

Perhaps the recipe has a typo and it meant to say "put crumbs", or maybe you weren't wearing your reading glasses when you read the recipe ;-)

It means to scrap the bottom of your pan, whether its a roasting pan or a skillet on the stove from whatever meat you cooked. It has extreme amounts of flavor from the cooking process. You can use that to make wonderful gravy.
