I would definitely schedule a trip to the vet and see if the cat is overweight or if the cat is just a large breed (like a Maine Coon). If it's overweight, you should definitely try weight controlled food. Extra pounds are very dangerous to a kitty! But there are bigger flaps, I bought one that is meant for a small dog and it works much better than the cat ones.

no you can get a large cat flap or an extras large catflap - short of having a tiger for a cat - it will go through - still its not very home secure to have a cap flap. tell you what how about Iyou shave your hair off and see if you like it! cats need their fur to regulate their temperature, buy a large catflap - they do wiork they even sell dog flaps

shaving a cat will make no diffrence. your cat needs a diet. not only to fit through the door but it is dangerous for a cat to be overweight. Get your cat on a weight control formula

if hes too fat then put him on a diet cos shaving his fur off is not going to help him lose any weight

put ur cat on a diet and keep him in as he may be getting food from other sources

go and see ur vet he will recommend a Good well balanced diet

No.. i dont know where you live but its coooold outside... Get him on a special kitty food diet... feed him once in the morning so he can have time to burn it off during the day.. I hope this was helpful!!
