Atman may refer to a concept in Hindu, Buddhist, and Jains traditions:

In Hinduism--"The Atman or Atma (IAST: Ātmā, sanskrit: आत्म‍ ) is a philosophical term used within Hinduism and Vedanta to identify the soul. It is one's true self (hence generally translated into English as 'Self') beyond identification with the phenomenal reality of worldly existence."
In Buddism--Ātman (Sanskrit: आत्म‍) or Atta (Pāli) literally means "self", but is sometimes translated as "soul" or "ego". In Buddhism, the misplaced or inappropriate belief in ātman is the prime consequence of ignorance, – itself the cause of all misery - the foundation of saṃsāra itself.
In Brahman-Atman Yoga (ब्रह्म आत्मा योग) the name of a style of Yoga developed in the Philippines. Atman is the soul, the individualized unit of consciousness emanating from Brahman. Yoga means union or oneness. Therefore, Brahman-Atman Yoga means "oneness of the individual with the Universal," or "union of the soul with God."
I hope it helps.

"Batman" means the crime-fighting superhero that dresses in black and wears a nut-hugging speedo over a pair of tights.

Batman has historically been an icon of American values such as justice, righteousness, and capitalism. Many sources believe that the concept of batman grew from certain people's fascination with the legend of Robin of Locksley, or Robin Hood.

Batman drives a vehicle referred to as the batmobile, and has a high-voiced homosexual sidekick named Robin who serves as a decoy for the bad guys and does nothing important except make a few ill-targeted wisecracks and stimulate hyperbole in the television series (i.e. POW, CRACK, BOOM, etc.)

Hope this helps you!

Atman is the collective soul. When viewed with avidya (ignorance) it appears as billion of individual souls, this perception is false. Atman is exactly equal to Brahman (God).

They say it pervades all living and non living things. So it may not be the life force.Self realisation is realisation that you are the Atman. It gives you a feeling of universality. These are only so many words.Possibly one has to experience it to understand what it is.

get on living your life to the full
and worry about atman when you die
people concern themselves with lifes
background scenes too much
simply because they have the mind and strength
of life and soul to do so
will you worry or concern yourself with life
when you are dead?
that is if it is possible to do so
just wait and see
be patient
be thankful for what is
not what it will be in the finish
