The Cessna 140 is one sweet vintage bird and I think the guy that wrote Jonathan Livingston Seagull flew one. It is a High wing taildragger good visibility and good handling. It is no performer but a solid plane. I don't think it would get any better except for maybe a Luscombe.

I'm like wAHAw. I've flown both and there's no contest. The 140 wins, hands down.

I would go for the 140. one less tire to buy (I like tail draggers anyway) a nicer machine all over.
