Sounds like you have a bit of asthma. Your Dr. can give you an albueterol inhaler. I didn't have any asthma until I quit smoking 11 years ago. Thr Doc says it smokers asthma! Do get it checked though emergency trips to the ER and breathing treatments really suck. Hope you feel better

Well, if it is just suddenly started, you could have a pulminary embolism which is a blood clot in your lung. You need emergency medical attention. Do you have chest pain? If it has just started within a few days, you need to seek medical attention immediately. Have you had any pain in your legs, swelling, tenderness in the legs? This could be a sign of a blot clot that has travelled from your leg to your lungs. Do you take birth control pills? Smoke? These are contributory factors in possible emoblism.
You could have asthma or you could have allergies, be out of shape, have any number of problems.

Pony ... Check with your doctor; it could be serious. As one person mentioned, you could simply be out of shape. However, if this were the case, I suspect you'd realize it. After all, if being overweight is the problem, you'd certainly aware of that. Or if you spend all your time sleeping, eating, and watching TV, the reason for you being out of breath would not be a mystery either.
It may be asthma, of course. But no one will know for sure unless you visit your doctor. Take care and good luck, Pony.
