The only difference between Regular Old Fashioned Oats and Quick Oats are that Quick Oats are cut into thirds at the factory to speed up there cooking time. Your recipe should not make a difference except that you may want to add 1-2 additional teaspoons of water to the recipe. Otherwise, just follow the recipe. All will be fantastic!

most oats today are quick cooking. just use a litttle less because quick cooking are already plumped a little and the measurement would contain less oat since they are a little plumper.. regular have not expanded as much therefore you would need to add less and give them time to expand...

Good luck hope u enjoy ur cookies

I do this all the time because regular oats are healthier. I mix together the wet ingredients first and then add the oats to the wet ingredients and let them soak while I mix together the dry ingredients. Good luck!

they have the right idea & i would like to add maybe with a little less oats & soaking them in the liquid first, you may want to add a couple of tablespoons of liquid & if no liquid is required in the recipe maybe add some hot water to oats & let set a few minutes before mixing. hope this helps
