my adapter to to keep my battery charged on my labtop is plugged in but not charging. do you think i need a new adapter or a new battery for my labtop??

How old is your laptop? If it is a couple of years old then I would suspect the battery. I'm assuming your computer runs ok when hooked up to your adapter even though your battery isnt charging.

gkk_72 is right. If your laptop runs while the adapter is plugged in, it must be working. Batteries do have a limited life, a year or so depending on use. I would suspect the battery.

Try popping the battery out. Wait for a couple of minutes, then try again. Also, make sure you are on a live outlet.

maybe you should try bothe to make sure so you dont have to run back and forth to see what you need and if you dont need one of them save it it could come in handy
