Some people who have trouble getting out of bed in the morning could suffer from ADD (both kids and adults). I myself have been diagnosed with adult ADD. Notice I didn't say ADHD (the H is missing). This is because only half of those who suffer from ADD also suffer from hyperactivity at the same time. The vast majority of ADD sufferers have problems with inattention or neglect that include some or most of the following:
1. Trouble waking up or getting out of bed in the morning
2. Chronic lateness (to work, school, appointments, finishing assignments or pushing back deadlines)
3. Trouble focussing on boring or routine tasks
4. Procrastination, trouble getting started on tedious, unpleasant tasks, or those that require a lot of thinking, planning, or organizing
5. Trouble following through or finishing projects
6. Forgetfulness, absent-mindedness, being scatterbrained
7. Poor time management or ability to estimate how long tasks should take
8. Disorganized bedroom, desk, workplace, home; piles of paper
9. Lack of proactive planning or forethought, setting goals up-front and following through on achieving them
10. Gets distracted easily (in conversation, listening to presentations, skips around while reading)
11. Trouble listening carefully to directions or following instructors on-the-fly (e.g., learning dance steps, learning to drive a manual car, complex sports drills, arts & crafts workshops)
12. Impulsive, gets frustrated or irritated, lack of persistence
13. Negative self-image, negative outlook
14. Gets tired while reading, studying, or when concentrating under pressure

I have a hard time getting to sleep at night, therefore I have a hard time getting up in the morning. I am sure if I went to be on a regular schedule and got enough sleep that I could hop out of the bed in the morning easily.

People are just different. Maybe the ones who have trouble waking up are more lively at night than the ones who jump right out of bed.
