How long have you been running? What are you eating? You do not have to eat a lot to consume many calories. Give it time. Drink plenty of water, and really pay attention to what you are putting into your mouth. Fast food, fatty fried foods, high sugar foods....avoid them. Do at least 30 minutes at a time on the treadmill at least 4 days a week.alternate running an walking. Be patience. you will be ok.

The more muscle you build the more calories your body will burn while at a resting state. The treadmill is a GREAT start!! It improves cardiovascular health to no end and helps your endurance and gets the blood pumping but if you were to add light weight training to the mix it might get you over the “hump” your at right now. Go to Target or Wal-Mart and for under $20.00 you can get one or two 10 to 20 pound dumb-bells. You only “Need” one… I have one of each, 5 pound, 10 pound, and 15 pound and do one arm at a time so I can really focus on what I’m doing. I use them when I get sleepy sitting at my computer doing business paperwork and though I know I am probably doing the exercises “Wrong” I am still lifting them over my head, doing bicep curls and other stuff while sitting at my desk. If you did a mile on the treadmill then just 10 min’s of exercises then you will be doubling your muscle usage and making your upper body look as sleek as your lower body must by now with all that running. You don’t need to spend lost of money to get healthy… Just $20.00 more will help you reach your goal!

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

If you aren't eating enough, then your body slows down your metabolism in an attempt to not starve. It is necessariy to be sure you get enough calories. Believe it or not, you will actually be more successful if you eat healthy snacks and 3 well balanced meals. Some excellent snack choices are fruit, nuts, apples or celery with peanut butter, or even a whole grain slice of toast with peanut butter. Yes, peanut butter is high in fat, but is very healthy and has been found to aide in boosting metabolism. Good luck with your weight loss. Oh, and while exercising, keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat.

you're body builds up tolerance to the same kind of exercise over and over again. you need to do different kinds! try holding weights while running, and doing sit ups and push ups before and after. buy a small trampoline and jump on that for the same amount of time you normally run ( way harder than it sounds! ) or try workout videos. there are a lot of new and really fun exercise videos out. just switch it up so your body doesn't know what to prepare it's self for. also, it doesn't matter how much you eat, if you're eating the wrong things.

Muscle weighs more than fat and toning your muscles will increase mass and weight. You should feel more taught and less flabby.
PS. You are not gaining weight just maintaining...then your exercise program is utilizing all intake calories, therefore not gaining and not losing. I envy your metabolism and willpower to keep motivation going. I am pooped out just thinking about you exercising. Also, how old are you? The older you get ,the harder it is to work that junk in the trunk and lose it. More power to you!

It's really hard to say without more information, maybe your routine has not been strenuous enough, your heart rate should be between 130 and 170 depending on your age and fitness level.

Also maybe you are eating very high calorie foods so that even if you dont think you are eating a lot you are still eating a lot of calories.

You may not be eating enough or eating properly. You may not be reaching an exertion level that will allow you to burn fat. And you're not building muscle mass, which burns calories faster than does fat.
