in spanish its called a "piropo" when a guy sees you and says something like "hey beautiful" or "hey cutie" or something like that as you are walking by, what do you call that in english???

it literally means compliment.
but attracting a woman's attention by calling out to her and appealing to her vanity is not a very nice to do and some people find it VERY offensive.
