wow, you just described my experiences back to me. Difficult isnt? Try to avoid thinking about food and have small regular meals. Breaky, mid morning snack, lunch, mid afternoon snack, tea, and supper if reqired. Snacks should be fruit or dried fruit. Meals should be balanced. I know, I know its difficult, but its the only way really

The trick is to eat only 3 square meals a day. and that's all, and above all always eat a large nutritious breakfast. If you eat big first thing in the morning your body gets the impression it will have plenty of food for the day and you feel less hungry. This also kick starts your metabolism much earlier and you'll burn fat easier throughout the day. if you don't eat breakfast or enough food in the morning your body goes into starvation mode. Meaning you will eat all day and crave sugar almost constantly. Also hunger pangs can be a sign of dehydration so drink if you feel hungry before you eat.

Hi, I'm blowing the trumpet for the 'I can make you Thin' by Paul McKenna approach to eating. IT IS NOT A DIET, its not about the food, it is about your relationship with food and tuning in to your bodies natural needs. Its simple but effective. It will get back your control of eating. It has no food restrictions and despite the title its not just for those who want to be thin, its for those who want control.

If you are maintaining you weight I wouldn't worry about getting fat. You're BMI is below 20 (which is underweight)
As long as you try to avoid high cholesterol foods such as butter, and eat enough vitamins then you have a heathly enough diet.
Count yourself lucky, if I looked at that amount of food I would put on a pound
