I have a cookie recipe that is made in the waffle iron. Does anyone else have a cookie recipe like this? I am wondering what kind of waffle iron I should use.

Thanks

There are a few irons that might be what they intend for you to use. A Norwegian krumake iron, a Belgian cookie iron, they vary in pattern and thickness but I think they are pretty much the same. If you don't have one, I would try the regular waffle iron and see how it goes unless it has sticky things (chocolate chips, pieces of fruit) that would stick and ruin your waffle iron (Usually Teflon not iron like the "real" cookie irons. I'm guessing it's high in butter so it should be okay.

I haven't heard of cookies being made this way, but I would think that a good teflon coated, electric waffle iron would do.
I use one of those for waffles, but, even though it is teflon coated, I still use a spray on coating every 2 - 3 times I make waffles. This helps the waffles from not sticking and works great.
Good luck and hope your cookies come out.

Those are called pizzelles, and they are an italian cookie that uses a specific machine that looks like a waffle iron, but the indentations are very shallow and different. You can buy a pizzelle iron at kitchen stores. I like the Vitantonio brand, but am not sure if they are still in business. Try ebay. Many times those irons are rarely or never used by the previous owner.
