We've been dating for about 4 months. He is working 2 jobs and is in the army. He just recently got an apartment with his best friend. He is 24 years old. I on the other hand am 18. I'm in my freshman yr of college and still live with my parents. He tells me he loves me and I make him happy but I think he could do better. Should I leave now and let him find someone better or be selfish and stay with him. I truely love him...I just want the best for him.

It's his decision to choose who's best for him, and right now he thinks it's you. It also sounds like your both busy- you with college and him with the military and various jobs. I think for now, you should just go with the flow and live your life- at this stage it's too early to worry about 'long term' ...just take it slow, focus on your education and see what happens.

One, he'll get in trouble with the Army if they find out he's working outside jobs (unless he's in Reserves, you should clarify that) two he sounds like a very industrious young man.

Why do you think he can do better than having a woman that loves him? I think you need to tell him how you feel about him. Then you need to tell a counselor how you feel about yourself. Get over some of these self doubts before they ruin your life.

And quit being so dramatic. Life can be enjoyable without the drama people!

Sounds like you don't think very much of yourself.
Why could he do better then you, if he loves you ??
You are 6 yrs. younger than he, and you say you truly love him.
Soooo What is the problem here ??
It's hard to answer a question like this, when only you and he, my dear, know what is best for the two of you.
Good Luck in your decision~~~~Jill

Don't think down on yourself like that. Your only 18 you haven't reached your full potential yet, he may be a couple steps ahead because he is alittle older, but there is nothing wrong with you two dating and trying to make a life together. He has chose to be with you, because there is something he see's in you, honor that, and love him with all you got.

Why leave ?? He says he loves you and you love him.

Give it a chance. If he didn't want to be with you, he wouldn't be.
If you walk away for your own selfish reasons then you'll regret it.

Don't make decisions based on what you think he wants. He knows what he wants and that appears to be you.

Just enjoy life. If it's meant to be, it'll last.

Do you feel like your not good enough for him or are you treating him
in a way that makes you feel bad? If you guys love each other then that is all that matters. This is something that you will need to decide for yourself.

Well first you need to check into getting some self-esteem for yourself. Don't talk down to yourself that way. You are better than you think. So if he says you make him happy, then believe him. Has he indicated anything else???

Been in the same situation...If you are happy with him, and he is happy with you then live it up! I felt the same with one of my ex boyfriends and I kicked myself in the *** by always worrying if I was good enough for him because he treated me better than any other boyfriend and I felt that I just wasn't that great of a girlfriend, but listen to him...because I kept denying the fact that i wasn't good enough and then suddenly it all went down hill...

If he says you make him happy then stay with him. Don't be negative about yourself that you think he can do better because he might not think so. Stay with him and give it some time.
