I am 3 months pregnant and cannot have my 110 lbs dog pulling me around anymore. I enjoy walks just as much as she does but I just cant take it anymore. She throws her weight around like she would be a puppy. I tried alot of things already but I am open for suggestions!

Get a gentle leader!! I had the same problem when I was pregnant, when i was 8 months along everytime I had to walk fast to keep up with my dog I would have a contraction, I had a german shepherd and the gentle leaders were AWESOME... its not a mussle, but everytime she tries to pull then her head is detoured and she cant pull anymore... Seriously you will be happy you did!! =) ENJOY and congrats on the upcoming baby!!!

Either a Halti or a Gentle Leader will work fine, and does not hurt the dog's neck. Instead, it turns their head toward you, which stops them pulling. There is a short lead which attaches it to their collar.

I use them for my Great Dane rescues who have never been leash trained. The first time or two, they may dance around a bit, but they soon get the idea, and you have the dog under full control. Some shy away from having something put on their face, but once they realize it means a walk, they are quite happy about it.

Make sure it is properly fitted, not too tight or too loose, and that it doesn't ride up enough to block their view. An obedience class would be a good idea.

Either a dog training class/es or a training collar. Training collar being the metal collar with spikes facing inward so when the dog pulls the collar tightens and the dog stops pulling. And just to let you know this is NOT cruel and it does NOT hurt the dog. I am an animal lover and would never hurt any of my five dogs or four cats. My wife uses one for our youngest dog and it keeps her under control and she still loves going for walks. When she sees this collar she starts jumping up and down as she knows she is going for a walk and loves it. Hope this helps and Oh yeah, congrats on the upcoming baby. Hope it is a healthy one. Good Luck.

They have a device called a Gentle Leader ,it goes around the nose and right behind there ears. It's a life saver,it works so much better than a choke collar. It works similar to a halter on a horse it put pressure on the bridge of the nose.I have a very large boxer who likes to walk me to, this is what I use and people can't believe it's the same dog when she has it on.

Buy a Halti Head Collar, go to a pet store and look at it, I know petco sells them. What it does is controls the dog but it mouth/nose... It's like having a harness on a horse. It goes over the nose and just under the ears. People think its a muzzle because goes over the nose. But my dogs act very well when they are put on the hatli

well, i hate to tell you but you have little luck- you could try to get ther to slow down by not allowing her to pull so much. your best bet is to have your husband or someone else walk her untill you have your baby or get a fenced in yard where she can walk herself. (also,is she fixed? it might help if you got her fixed)

Get a choker, just make sure you can get 2 fingers in it, otherwise you risk suffocating the dog.
