Every religion preaches peace and to be righteous. God is one- He is formless. We give Him different forms to relate to Him. If Jesus is the only God then did God not exist before the birth of Jesus? The Divine is Pure Consciousness - He takes different forms. We need to follow our own religion and accept and respect other religions. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar says, Broaden your vision and deepen your roots. He also says religion is just the banana peel, the real fruit is Spirituality. So get spiritual and dont hold on to the banana skin. Those who choose the wrong path can never be happy in the long run. Be righteous and God will be with you.

no,religions do not deviate from the path of peace and truth. some selfish people use religions as tools to play with the sentiments of innocent people and the result is deviation from the path of peace and truth.

All religions set the social and community rules for living. They define both good and bad practises prevalent in the society. They advocate you to follow the path of truth and love for peace and happiness. However, a few of the followers of different religions firmly believe that their own religion is superior to other religions. They consider it their holy mission to influence everyone else to follow their own religion by employing all means, including force and violence, even ignoring the essence of the teachings of their own religion. This is the principal reason for violence in the name of religion. In this age of instant results, religious leaders are also tempted to employ such means for quick results. All religions teach its followers to surrender to the will of God for peace and happiness. If you believe that your God is powerful enough to protect you at every step, you will never be afraid of facing any obstacle in your path, rather you would be happy to welcome such obstacles as opportunities to demonstrate your skill and courage to overcome them.

In todays world religion has become a pain and confusion rather than giving peace. people have moulded it to their convenience and the best possible advantage. the roots or lost and with this pattern we are always confused and confounded

sad but true. eternity is not about here. share love/fellowship to all you can , in as many ways as you can, for as long as you can. and everyday let it be known that your desire is to get back to father.
If this does not seem like a good thing to do then do nothing as you are already on the path you have choosen.
