My girlfriend's family doesn't like me at all... And they are trying to get me in trouble with the law and a whole bunch of stuff... Right now... As it stands... She is 15 going on 16... I am 18... we are both in school still... I am a senior... And we both care about each other so much... But her dad pretty much hates me... Her brother keeps trying to pick a fight with me... She is also my first girlfriend... And it was her who made me have a girlfriend... If that's the right way to put it... She was the one who had convinced me that I wouldn't do anything bad... And I am not going to try to hurt her... But with the way things are going... I don't know if I should just give up and go back to being the way I was or to try and make it through and get in a crapload of trouble in the proccess... If I do get in trouble though... I know it would be worth it... Any Advice? Because I'm just at a loss here... Please tell me what you think...

Unfortunately, legally her parents can press charges against you because of her age. What you need to do it explain to her that as much as you love her, you can get in a lot of trouble and possibly do jail time. Let her know that until she turns of legal age the two of you need to not date and just be friends. Trust me her turning 16 doesn’t make her of legal age either. You need to stop and think is all the trouble that you’re possibly facing worth it? Is she worth it? As much as it’s going to hurt her to not have you in her life as her boyfriend, think about what you’re going to be facing and how it’s going to effect your family. What you’re doing can land you in jail and how is your family going to react from that? You’re possibly going to tear your family apart and start a war between your family and hers if you end up doing jail time for something that you have control over. If she loves you in return, she won’t want you to end up and jail and she will understand why you’re backing off as far as being her boyfriend and only willing to be her friend. In the meantime, continue to go to school and get good grades so in the end you can show her parents that you’re not just some jerk that wanted to sleep with their minor daughter. Show them that you are and will be someone that has a promising future. When she becomes of legal age, then date her and show them that you’re good for her and that you can handle making their daughter happy.

Talk with her let her know how you feel about her and that you have to back off a bit until she is 18 also and if she still wants to be with you then and you her than it was meant to be. The important thing is to stay out of trouble, finish school get a good job and prove yourself to her family. Good luck

This is a really tough question, but I think you shouldn't give up. Don't let the threats of her family come between you. If you truly care for each other and you really *aren't* doing anything to get into any trouble, then there's no problem. I guess it's ultimately your decision of what's more important to you... but I think love is way more important than fear. Best wishes!

I think you should go ahead because she's worth it . . . right? I think that's real cute. I think once her family sees that you are being a man and not a boy, and that you would got through the hell they are putting you through to be with her, they will lighten up. Believe me, I have 3 brothers and a dad that is very protective too. Just give THEM a little space and try to be on your best behavior-but don't act too fake, however. They'll come arround.

At 18 you are considered an adult. At 15 going on 16, SHE is still a minor. And, if you are having sexual relations with her, her family CAN have you arrested for rape. My advice to you is, get an older girfriend, or wait until this one grows up!!!
