Long Beach has a nice aquarium but never really thought about it as a (in the wild) whale watching hotspot. I think most whale watchers go down the coast to Dana Point (South of Laguna Beach)..I don't recall seeing whales in the Long Beach area, I suppose they are out there somewhere, however.

you won't be in a position to ascertain any whales from the coast in long coastline. The port and the VERY long breakwater scares them off. you may desire to flow on a whale observing boat excursion or to the factor Vicente Lighthouse on the Palos Verdes peninsula in case you p.c. to ascertain them from shore. December to April is the final time to whale watch. extra: I did say take a boat from long coastline. you are able to't see them from the shore right here. I stay via the coastline and walk alongside it popular and that i've got in no way considered a whale from the coastline in LB.
