I am Roman Catholic, but I'm not a woman, so I'll answer anyway.

I don't believe that the use of birth control is sinful, since it's not ending a life, it's just not permitting the life to begin (I know, splitting hairs but what the hey).

Yes i'm a practicing catholic, no i don't use birth control and no i don't think it;s a sin.. I think that it is your choice. I think that those teachings are out dated. But i also am discurrage my children from premarital sex although i did it. I . The catholic teaching feels that if a man ejaculates at all it should be to create life and that is not what most sex is now days. I hope i answered your question.

Yes, it is a sin to use artificial contraception. It is completely denying the complete self giving that a husband and wife are suppposed to have for each other.

It is really pretty easy to understand...this link gives a great explanation:

There will probably be very negative answers here about the Church, but you owe it to yourself and your marriage to learn about NFP if you are concerned about planning your family.

Couples who practice NFP are many times less likely to get divorced than couples who contracept.

I'm not a woman, nor am I catholic. But my ex wife is catholic and she was able to justify it because her dermatologist prescribed it for her complexion. So it's primary use was not to stop babied from being made (although it did that too!).

Yes, I use birth control -- periodic abstinence. The Church does not consider periodic abstinence a sin.
